Microstock Photography

What is Microstock: Microstock is very low cost, high quality, royalty free (i.e. buy once, use many times) stock photography that relies on high sales turnover to generate revenue. It revolutionises image buying by making professional quality images both affordable (very low prices starting at USD1 or less) and accessible (immediate download via the internet). Getty, one of the most recognized traditional stock photography houses has just recently bought iStock. Douglas Freer is both a lawyer and a photographer who has created the world's largest forum on microstock photography. He is highly recognized in the community and the perfect author to explain the current state of play from both the viewpoint of both the buyer and the seller (the photographer).
